I refuse to admit to how old I am.
I call myself the Dinosaur because I date back to a prehistoric era which came before there were computers.

According to this post http://forums.vb-world.net/showthread.php?threadid=58796 you'd better be prepared to have your mama or your girlfriend make it for ya!

ok here's my question.
for all the ladies: what would you expect in a man?
for all the gents: what is the best way to win a girl?
barrk

Shafee.....I think the answer to your question is different for each individual. What I want in a man may be totally different than what Pix or smh want. I'll give you my opinion though...
What I expect from a man is someone who is a partner.
Someone who listens as well as shares his ideas with me.
Someone who makes me laugh.
Someone with the same ideas about raising children.
Someone who is compatible sexually is VERY important to my relationship.
I expect my husband to rely on me when he needs to but also be reliable when I need him.
I also need someone who will compromise when necessary but also stick to his guns if needed.
He also must be brutally honest with me....even if I don't want to hear the truth.....but be kind about it.
I found what I wanted .......I hope you do too!

If the Queen Mother has been knocking around here (and I beleive I saw her once), she is the oldest forum member. She is actually a hundred years old (or is that the number of PRIVATE hip replacements she's had?)

Back to original topic:
I´m 53 but I feel the same as when I was 17.
(On those days I liked 24 years old girls - Nowadays I like 24 years old girls)

Shafee, I just put it down to my superior good looks, don't normally have to do the hard work...

The best way to 'win a girl' is to find someone that doesn't feel the need to be won. She's a girlfriend, not a prize... something about the concept annoys me.

Well said Harry, although I have a laugh & a joke on here, I'm not really a sexist pig & agree 100% on that one !

Due to the energy crisis, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off. Sorry for any incovenience this may cause
barrks - 3 months ago my electric bill broke $200 for one month - for a 2 bedroom apartment!
barrk
Mar 6th, 2001, 09:35 AM
I have a 2500 square foot house....my electric bill was $350...I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. They have turned off 2/3 of the lights at work and won't allow the heat to be turned on.....and no space heaters until the "crisis" has passed....the government doesn't want to pay the light bill.
I wish there was something we could do about it but unfortunately not.....get prepared for even higher bills to come. :-(

I hate it. I live in South OC, but have SDG&E, not Edison or PG&E so we had no price caps. I still owe over $800 and I have been making payments of $150 a month since last July!
barrk
Mar 6th, 2001, 09:47 AM
Since the crisis....the price caps on electricity will be lifted....actually we will just be required to pay the State for the bailout of SCE....either way it means higher bills on top of what we're already paying........it really stinks! I feel badly for the people who are already at their spending limits and now they have to budget a bunch more money to pay for something as basic as electricity...........it's really messed up!!!!

that's me!
I make about $32k a year before taxes, pay $890 a month for my HALF of the rent, pay close to $2 a gallon for gas, pay $39 a month for the mandatory car insurance in this state, and then I get a $211 dollar electric bill! it makes me sick.
barrk
Mar 6th, 2001, 10:06 AM
I feel for you.........really I do........but I was thinking more about those who make 20K per year and still have to pay the rent, gas, etc. those are the people who are really getting screwed.
