    Error check for Webservices

    Can anyone tell me how to do an error check on WebServices i.e. to check if the site which has the webservices is not down and also if internet connection exists?

    Part of it is solved i.e. if internet exists. The other part is to check whether webservice exists? Is making an http request solve the problem?
