I was pleasantly surprised when I went through these posts...

I saw Jessica (Microsoft Windows Client Team) replying in the first thread and
Kirk Stowell (Codejock Software) in the other...

Has this been happening for a long time and I was oblivious to that fact or this is some new development/arrangement with different companies?

We have several Microsoft representatives on the Forums for at least a few years now. Plus, Microsoft frequents the site but may not always be logged in.

Have you noticed the Slow Chat with the Microsoft Team we had a couple of years ago. We made a special Forum just for it.

As for CodeJock, I think it was in regards to my post on their Forums for support and found their way over here. Just a guess as its very coincidental they signed up within a day of my thread.

We are a large site. There are several companies that are here. Some like to support their product and others like to try to get free advertising. Microsoft is the exception since its usually Brad working on getting them to drop by for promotions like Slow Chat. Hopefully we can get another session with them

Microsoft is aware of several of our (Internet.com) sites. Plus, bots, alerts, and other agents make it easier to find out when people talk about your products these days ;) :)
