    iam trying to create a software layout similar to the AOL program.
    What i want it to have a main screen which has a toolbar,
    when the user click on one of the button, i want to make the form that loads up, to be part of the main screen, so if i was to press alt tab, i dont want the second form yto be present there. i only wan the main screen to be there, so that all the forms that load up other than the main screen, stays as part of the main program only. Similar to the Aol program.

    Dont know the AOL Program specifically. But if it's web pages you are using, then you need to just use HTML Frames. that'll do the trick.

    try making an mdi form it stays insid of its parent window. that is the type of app the aol, vb, and photoshop are. sometimes hard problems have simple answers
