I have built an application using my win2000 server machine. It ports to my win2000 pro machine just fine but I am having problems getting it to port to win 98. I thinkk the problem lies in that I cannot get win2000 server and win 98 to network correctly. I need to set up an account on the server for win98 to log into? I haven't had any luck on finding a tutorial or walkthrough for this. I am trying to connect through TCP/IP as the win98 network is already established this way. Basically, the server can see all the other computers and shared files, but the win98s can only see the server and cannot access any shares. Help me I'm lost.

If you are running windows 2000 server you need to go into start, programs, administrator tools, active directory users and computers. then their is a users folder. open it and right click in the screen add user. go throught and setup and accout for the user. then on your win98 pc on the desktop right click on the network neighborhood, select properties, then select client for microsoft networks. "if its not there you will have to add it". click properties and then you need to check logon to windows nt domain. and enter your domain name into the box. after that restart and you should be able to logon to the domain server..
Hope this helps
