[Serious] Umm, i Told you so....?

    LONG, But True

So my best friends Mom, Julie, within the last 3 years got out of a divorce. She had gotten a Facebook and a MyYearBook page and was looking for a "soul mate" or something. She talked to a few guys, and didnt see anything in them. Then this one guy gave Julie extra attention. We will call him Tom.

Tom would send Julie cute things on the website, and they got to talk online, then phone, then video calls, etc. They started "edating" or what ever you want to call it. They were edating for several months when they decided that he should move out here and live with Julie and her family (Julie and 3 teen girls).

A little more about Tom, he liked just about everything that Julie liked. The Raiders, Halloween, Scary movies, same ice cream "cute" things like that. So they were going to get married this coming halloween, it was set, no real plans set in stone.

He worked from home, so his he could easily relocate his business else where, so it was not a huge problem to move from the East coast all the way to the West coast, california, and marry Julie.

I was talking to my best friend about it and i was telling her like since my dad is a cop, he knows people who will move across the country and take advantage of people like that. And she was denying it, and i was like no really, people do that. But Tom was different, he was a nice guy. And i kept telling her, he could be faking the whole thing, and trying to get their money or something.

Well he moved out here in July, and has been living here since, and he has No family, they are all "dead", and he had no friends... Weird... So he Has been living here, and things have been ok except for the fact that he contributed no money to the family. He worked online, and kept all his money to himself.

Well since he moved out here, he didnt bring his car, so Julie let Tom use her car, and last week she was putting him on the insurance. Julie gave the insurance company Toms Social Security number... The insurance company came back with "That social security number is not valid anymore."

It turns out that that SSN belonged to a guy who was dead. So julie called the police and they told her "dont confront him about it." they did some investigating and called Julie back and told her to get everyone out of the house today, so my friend came to my house (she lives across the street) and the other 2 daughters took the dogs out for a walk.

Me and my friend were sitting in my room when we see a undercover police car pull up and then cops are swarming the house. We are watching from my window and we see Tom coming out of the house at gun point, and they put him into custody.

After talking with the detectives it turns out he was wanted in 11 states, he had warrants in all of them. "Tom" was just a made up person that he took on, for who knows how long...

I feel soo bad for that family. They thought they had found the perfect man... I havnt, and probably wont, say it, but i told them so...

    Update
So the police are going through his computer and are waiting for the FBI to get to the house.

    Update
So i guess this guy has been going from single woman to single woman pretending to be a good guy, gaining their trust, and when they arnt home, he leaves them with all of their valuables.

When the police talked to him, he said that he was actually starting to get attached this family, and care about them, so he was going to leave them, but not hurt them and take their stuff because he cared about them, and they didnt deserve to be deceived.

    Update
Something else that i found out: Since the guy moved in, Julie had problems sleeping, so she took an at home sleep apnea test, it came back positive for sleep apnea. Weeks later she took the same test at a hospital, and it came back negative.

Turns out Tom had been waking her up several times during the night, thus making the test positive when she took it at home. Why would he do this you ask? So if she suddenly stopped breathing in the night, the cause would be her sleep apnea, not Tom... He was planning on suffocating her in the night... Sick freak.

    Update
SO we were going through all of Tom's computers and flash drives today, and he pretty much cleared everything from his computer. There is a missing 8gig drive, and we guess that he backed up everything important on there and hid it somewhere.

Also, we went through his Opera history (the only one he didnt delete history from) and there were SSA.gov sites and Laywers.com with the topic "Driving with a Suspended License", because he was not able to get one of his own.
