We are looking for a Software Developer in a full time position for a fast growing company, headquartered in Scarborough, ON with operations across North America specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of integrated transaction control solutions for the College/ University, Public Library, Government and Corporate marketplaces.
Software Developer:
Reporting the application engineering manager, this highly organized, detail oriented individual will design and develop windows based, web based applications.

Department: Engineering
Key areas of responsibilities
• Windows programming in Borland C++, VB6, Visual C++, ASP.NET and C#
• Visual Studio 2005/2008 with Silverlight
• Applications, dB models, Custom DLLs, Templates creation);
• Database development & dB normalization for MS SQL and Oracle.
(SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Distributed Queries);
• Dynamic & Static Web Sites Programming
• Engineering Manual Documentation
• Validation Documentation and Preliminary Software Testing
• Protocol Documentation

Skills
• Knowledge of Active Directories and network architecture.
• Experience with RS232 and TCPIP Components,
• Understanding of Print protocols such as PCL and Postscript,
• Transaction systems and PCI certification experience is an asset
• Good written and verbal communication skills,
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle,
• Able to estimate and meet deadlines,
• Good problem solving capabilities and analytical skills
Qualifications
• University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or other related field,
• Certified Microsoft Professional is an asset,
• 3+ years experience Object Oriented Programming,
• 3+ years experience in .NET Development,
• 3+ years experience in SQL design and development
