Hi,

I have seen a lot of new people posting questions meant for the coding sub-forums in the "Code Bank". I was wondering if it were possible to put a required post count say 200 posts before they can post in the code bank. This is to make sure new members are familiar with the forum so they don't keep posting coding questions in the code bank.

That's an interesting suggestion because it would reduce the number of threads the mods need to move. However one problem with it is that it would also stop the newer people from asking legitimate questions about (and in) existing Code Bank threads.

Isn't it possible to limit starting threads instead of blocking posting?

I have a related question regarding CodeBank: would it be possible to increase the post length in CodeBank? Or post length of the thread's first post? This would be in some cases be useful when having multiple codes and descriptions on why they're done, how they work, how to use etc. and I don't like the need to post multiple posts in a row just for that.

Another possibility I just thought of would be to moderate threads before they are submitted to the "Code Bank"?

Nah, that'd be about just the same amount of work for moderators, if not more. Threads eventually get relocated in their proper place.

I think the best solution, at least for now, is for you guys to report the threads that don't belong in the CodeBank.
