Does anyone here actually use Whistler as their OS or are they just playing around?

It is No longer to be called Whistler....It has matured
and even grown a Moustache...Call it Windows XP Experience)
[But Some Would like to call it Windows Experimental or
    Windows - Extremely Painful ]

I think No one Would have had a hand on WindowsXP
    Except ' oetje '

I've got the ISO of Whistler, but I haven't installed it yet.. I'll try it once I get around to hooking up my old PC.

The ISO of Whistler is 600mb. I don't think my ISP will allow me to upload that much.

The Non Commercial Version of ADSL ( Low Cost Version)
is not allowed to act like a Commercial Server. At 600 MB transfer
(In any Direction) The ISP can Easily Detect it and
    Will Charge Dennis for it.(

    Dimava:

Even if I do send it to you via AIM, it is still uploading the file.

    All:
My ISP get's suspicious if there is very much uploading activity. They say it is prohibited to run an HTTP server off of your account. Of course you can run one to design your website, but if you are using it for file sharing purposes, they will not be happy.

Well, an ISO image is a single file, so just compress it -- dennis, you know how to use zlib so I'm sure you can code a suitable splitting program up that's far superior to a ZIP file.

Compression should get it down to about 400mb, then split it into about 6 pieces.

No, but they can find out your level of usage. If they see that you've sent a huge amount they'll know something's going on.

so they will suspect that you are running a big commerical web server

but who would run a big commerical server for about 3hours?

Even if he breaks it in to multiple parts.
They Would still Weigh 500Kg err... MB cumulatively.
And That is still close to maximum limit allowed by the ISP.

There really is no Max. but if I upload more than about 100mb they start sending me emails asking what I'm doing.

I got it from a friends FTP server.

It is a friends FTP server, and he only allows certain people to download things from him.
