I am using Windows ME. I have installed Microsoft Interdev and Mspws. I am writing ASP programs using "Front Page" and VB6. When I try to run the ASP program with Internet explorer as localhost I get a mesage That the server could not process the data because the Active-X server has to run out-of-process, and the AllowOutOfProcCmpnts has to be set to 1,
When I go to the registry and go to system/currentControlSet/W35vc/ASP/Parameters There is nothing there to set. How Come?
Please Help

Are you using Personal Web Server? I had heard from someone that it doesn't work in Windows ME. I dunno personally, just what I heard.

From Microsoft's Site...
SUMMARY
Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) does not include Microsoft Personal Web Server (PWS) 4.0, and PWS 4.0 is not supported in Windows Me.
MORE INFORMATION
The Windows 2000 Professional operating system is designed for business users and contains Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0. IIS 5.0 includes Web and FTP server support, as well as support for FrontPage transactions, Active Server Pages, and database connections. Available as an optional component, IIS 5.0 is installed automatically for those upgrading from versions of Windows with PWS installed.
PWS 4.0 is included with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack and was designed for Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0 with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later. Although this product is not supported in Windows Me, you may be able to install it in Windows Me for testing purposes.
This workaround is provided for advanced users who regularly test unsupported software configurations. If you are unsure of whether this accurately describes you, Microsoft recommends that you do not download or install PWS on Windows Me. If you choose to install PWS on Windows Me, Microsoft recommends that you install it in a test environment, not on a primary computer or operating system.
NOTE: FrontPage 2000 can use disked based Webs under Window Me as an alternative.

back to the original problem....
Kornel -- you'll have to manually add the registry key. The registry keys don't necessarily have to exist because IIS will use the defaults if the key is not there
