Hey guys need guide here.
When your professor ask you to think a new software and make a system analysis and SDLC of it. What your going to do? I meant what should i write in system analysis and SDLC thing????
Help here want to learn this kind of documentation

There are plenty of books out there on systems analysis and the SDLC. And since your professor asked about this, I will assume this is for school, in which case you should already have texts on the subject.

Do you need to write an essay comparing SDLC to RAD, JAD, etc?

Yup, but i am asking for the documentation .
There are plenty of books out there on systems analysis and the SDLC. And since your professor asked about this, I will assume this is for school, in which case you should already have texts on the subject.
Actually no, i am graduate, but not in that field. I just started to study about that.
Well i am just wondering what should i write in a document when i ask in that SDLC or whatsoever when starting to a new project. Cause if i am not mistaken if you are going to start a new project it is not only coding but rather a document also.

Since your Prof has asked you to think of a new software this is what I suggest.
In case of any product development, the basic steps remain more or less the same.
1> Identify a need.
For example: People like to play chess, but won't get enough partners
2> Describe what will fill that need.
For example: A chess club.
3> How will it work?
For example: Chess boards and chess pieces. A player will make a move and post that move to another player, who will then reciprocate with his move. Both players will keep track of the move using their own boards.

What is the content of the SDLC document, i know some like ER-Diagram, FlowChart, Gantt Chart. What are the others should i write in the document?
