Is PC the Next MAC ?

The Most Important thing that Made a PC different from
a Macintosh is that we are not bound to properiteray
hardware and could freely choose our own piece of hardware.

But Now....with Motherboards having Integarted
Peripherals like Display card,sound Card etc...
Is the PC turning macish ? Will the Future Hardware
be Integrated and built right in to the Mother boards ?

I have a superior VIA chipset but 2K doesn't have support so it f**ks up :(
