sound events advice
I'm working on adding sounds to a Jeopardy game that I'm making and had two questions.
What funny/humorous sounds do you think would be good for when the player answers the question correct and incorrect for US History and Science related questions? I have the other columns covered. For the Star Trek questions, I have Spock say logical if you get it right, illogical if you don't. For the computer questions, I have HAL and for the Simpsons questions I have homer's classic doh and woohoo.
I'm just at a loss at what to do for science and US history.
Thanks.

What about "Eureka!" for science if they get it right?
Can't think of anything else right now... :-)

Oohhh wait, how about "Great Scott!" from Back to the Future for science: maybe when they get it wrong?! Or right? That would be a funny one.
Doc Brown always said "Precisely" in those movies too. Probably good get a good sound file of that.
Haha.. or use George McFly's awesomely obnoxious laugh when they get it wrong.
Not sure why I am stuck on Back to the Future. :-)

LOL
Maybe because its the best movie ever?

I could use Great Scott if they get it right and Biff's why don't you make like a tree and get outta here if they don't for the Science one.

LOL Yes, to ALL of that.
Younger Dr. Emmett Brown: [running out of the room] 1.21 gigawatts? 1.21 gigawatts? Great Scott!
Marty McFly: [following] What-what the hell is a gigawatt?
I will think on the history one...

US History right: "Goooooood Bleesss Ammmerica...." (part of the sung anthem.)
Or play a clip from Neil Diamond's song, "There coming to America..." Who represents America better than Neil? haha... in that song he does sing,
"My country 'tis of thee
Today!
Sweet land of liberty
Today!
Of thee I sing
Today!
Of thee I sing
Today!"
US History wrong: "The British are coming! The British are coming!"
haha...

Or even for science, wrong: when biff says, "Hello McFly! Is there anyone in there!?"
:-) Ok, I'm done. I am not being productive at work at all. :-) Got a kick out of this.

Hmmm I like the british are coming for the wrong answer, I've never been a big fan of Neil though.
what about James Brown's living in America for the right one?
Rocky 4 all over again!
LOL
Yah I saw the hello McFly a lot when I've been browsing for Future sound clips.
Thanks for the suggestions, now get back to work!

Yes Rocky IV.
How about Drago when he says, "You will lose. I must break you!" Or when Mickey yells, "You can't win Rock!"
I like Living in America for the other too.

Good, but I want them to have some type of relevance to US History.

Oh wait, Rocky 4 is part of US History.

Yeah, Rocky practically represents America anyway.

OK, here's what I went with.
For Science, if they get it right they are treated to Doc Brown's "Great Scott!"
If they get it wrong, they get the principle's "your a slacker!"
LOL
And for US History, I used a program called Total Recorder and got two phrases from whoever plays Sean Connery on SNL's Celebrity Jeopardy skits.
I picked "The day is mine!" if you get the answer correct and "You'll rue the day, Trebek!" if you get it wrong.
HILARIOUS!!! I'm playing my own game just to hear the sound effects.
Thanks for the back to the future idea's!

haha great stuff. Glad to help and get the ball rolling.
From the SNL skit (another great when they get it wrong quote):
Sean Connery: Boy, you might be legally retarded.
haha I could do this all day.. see ya!
lol just keeping the ball rolling...

Total Recorder is a great program to use! I use it for any audio I have to record.
