    Useful Applications

    Hello,

I have found a couple of useful applications lately that I have brought up in Chit Chat, namely:

    CodeRush Express
    SharePoint Designer

(I mention SharePoint Designer because it is now available as a free download.)

I have added these to my signature, but I am wondering if there is somewhere a little more permanent for putting things like this, i.e. a sticky in the General Developer Forum or something similar.

Is this something that could be arranged?

    Thanks

    Gary

We don't really have a product directory on VBForums, so there really is no where to list products such as these.

The owners tend to avoid product lists because they can compete with advertising, or because they can charge some companies to list products.

I konw these are Free, Microsoft releated products, but sometimes it is easier to avoid such a list anyway because once you start one, then lost of 3rd party companies will start listing all of their stuff on the list. Codeguru has a resource list, so I've seen how well they can work.....

    Sorry.

    Hey,

No probs, I just thought that I would ask, as I have found them very useful and I thought other people would as well. I will just have to remember to point people towards them if and when needed.

    Thanks

No problem, and thanks for asking. Having them in your SIG works for now too.

That's true, but even that short list of Apps I use and think are useful is starting to get a bit long, might have to think about prioritising them
