Would it be possible to have the forums displayable in some kind of "Lite" format, without any of the outer tables and most of the extra formatting? Because it would be really helpful over a slower connection or a text-only browser (don't laugh, I still need to use one occasionally!).

Im on a 56k modem. How about an option to keep things like smilies and avatars from showing. And how about an option to have text links instead of the Post reply and profile pictures?

You can also stop Signitures from displaying.

Signatures are ok because they are just text, its all the pictures that make it slow.

Oh, no! To imagine the Forum without anyone's signatures or Avatars, after so many days!!!

I think I better be patient till the page downloads. Even if it takes a good five minutes over a 56K modem proxy, with a huge download going on.

And after the "who's got the longest signature" competition it could REALLY speed things up...it could reduce load on the server, too :)
