Re: Searching for something that is not there!!
Things that ARE there are always in the last place you look for them. Therefore, if you can figure out where the last place is, then all things that are not in that place are not there.
I think this means that nothing is there, but I can't be bothered to connect all the dots.

Make as many mistakes as you can as quickly as you can. We want to make sure that we make a great enough number of mistakes in a given amount of time so that we can be successful.

This is a truism, simply because once you find it you stop looking. /logic

That really does make sense.

If it's not there then don't look for it in the first place and you'll save yourself the trouble of looking for something that's not there.

Here's another truism for you: My post went over your head.
However, I sometimes look in a few other places after finding something just so that it WASN'T in the last place that I looked.

So if your post went over his head then if he were to look up at the right time he would see your post passing above his head.

Oh no, now we've sunk into literalism.
You're like a blind man in a dark room searching for a black cat that isn't there.

Re: Searching for something that is not there!!
How do you search for something that isn't there? By looking for something else. Happens to me all the time. I go looking for my keys, I find my wallet, phone and glasses instead. I seem to find any and everything else but the object being sought.
