In this recession of the global economy, I have noticed that IT jobs are still out there just more comptetitive in terms the process between the actual interview and acquisition. There are a mounting unemployed programmers out there actively looking for positions.
There are plentiful niche opportunities in vendor applications SAP, PeopleSoft Financials, JD Edwards software or opportunities for those who have SUN and Microsoft Certifications. And even legacy systems and mainframe programmer job positions. However I wondered how many of you are trapped in a position that you are in currently because of the recession that you would have otherwise left ? And for those of you that aren't in that position now then have you been in that position in the past ? And how did you handle it ?
