    VSTS Video Ads

    I have noticed that the VSTS video ads are really slowing down my viewing of the site. It takes an extra second or two to navigate pages when those video ads are playing.

    Is there anything that can be done about them, without me having to block ads and flash on this site?

    What video ads? It seems strange that the ads would play automatically! They should be disabled unless the user clicks the video.
    when you quote a post could you please do it via the "Reply With Quote" button or if it multiple post click the "''+" button then "Reply With Quote" button.

    There is a rowing one and a racecar one that play automatically. They appear to the right of the vbwire news at the top of the page.

    I've had the racecar one, and haven't seen a slowdown either (and I would, my current computer is short on power!), so I would recommend making sure that whatever technology it uses (Flash/Silverlight/etc) is up to date on your computer.

    I only notice the delay if I try and navigate from the page when the video is playing (so within 10-15 seconds).

    I'll double check my flash player to make sure it is up to date. Maybe I'll also try in IE to see if it has the same issue, because I normally use firefox.
