Linking Access with VB5 PLEASE HELP!!!

Is this possible...Can I take a couple of tables out of Access and link them to a VB project. The tables are essentially like a listbox in VB. one is a list of people, and the other is a list of departments. If this is possible could anyone please explain, or tell me wher I could get some more info on it.
