Unfortunately, Crystal reports does the queries a different way. In programs past, I have written parallel queries... one for the database, and the other for Crystal rep.
An easier method is to use a "select into" query to copy the records into a blank database, and then have Crys Rep print everything in the database.

You can easilly do it. First, you have to create a DSN (DataSourceName) for your database (you can do it by going to control panel and select ODBC icon)
Then, when you're creating your report, select SQL/ODBC type. Then from the given list, you would select an item, which should look something like this:

    ODBC - YourDSNName

As soon as you select your DSN, it will show you the list of available Tables and Stored Procedures (Crystal Reports treats parameterized queries as Stored Procedures), select your query (it should look something like this: (Proc)YourQueryName)
Then it will ask you for parameter values, input those accordingly.

Note: make sure you do the folowing first:

    1. Select Options from the File menu
    2. Select SQL tab
    3. Make sure Stored Procedures check box is checked.

Whew, I hope this is not confusing.

I'm using Access 97 anc Crystal Reports7, for some reason I cannot get my report to accept any queries that have Parameters in them, is there a way round this?
