Using CURL instead of frames?

I am using frames to show my toolbar at the top of my page, and my users chosen website below it. The toolbar is there to give easy access to some functions I provide. I have only recently learnt about CURL and wonder if it's possible/better to use it to show another website on my page instead of a frame. Is it possible?
