Uhm. Ok, perhaps one is not allowed to report a thread which they have started. I just did it for you, lets see when an administrator receives the message.

Re: posted twice
It would be nice, after a 1000+ post count you have to get the right to delete your own posts, or threads you started twice accidently (as long as no one answered your post),
learn something new. I didn't know we could edit the title. And it's a forum setting that stops you from deleting your own thread in regular forum area. A long time ago, you used to be able to.
Also i find it odd that you can't report your own thread and it doesn't give you the icon, but it inconsistently gives me a "rate" link for my own post. Obviously it doesn't work when you click it, but it's there.
One of the extra features for Powerposters (people with at least 2048 posts) is the ability to delete their posts (via the full Edit page), but not their threads (except in chit-chat). Several PowerPosters delete their posts at times (like if they mis-read the question, or double-post).
It was changed to only allow PowerPosters to do it because quite a few people (especially newer members) were deleting their posts when they got an answer, which often made the thread worthless - and as about 95% of the site usage is completely read-only (people not even logged in), "losing" a thread is quite a big deal.
