HASP--Hardware Against Software Piracy
In the net there are some softwares which create a USB drive as a hardware lock for a software to block piracy so that the software does not run without that USB Drive...Can i get some more info on this issue? Is there VB code available to make a HASP lock?
I m sorry if i have posted in wrong section.
Thanx in advance

Re: HASP--Hardware Against Software Piracy
I've never heard of it, but a quick search turned up this page with some VBA samples for download.

Re: HASP--Hardware Against Software Piracy
By watching the model of aladding, this device simply receives (hardcoded) encrypted data from your app, that is decrypts, and send it back. Simply, you just have to provide informations thru this device, that is cannot be imitated by an emulation crack.

During runtime the protected software sends encrypted strings to the protection key (HASP HL or HASP SL) which decrypts the strings and produces a response that cannot be imitated. If the response from the protection key is correct, the application will run. If the protection key is not present or the response from the key is incorrect, the application will not run
