LinkedIn.com
Is anyone apart of the LinkedIn.com community? I'm really digging this website as I've joined quite a few groups and connected with past and current co-workers. It's really helped in talking with others about different opportunities.
Does anyone use LinkedIn.com for networking, self-promotion or anything else? Any success?

too me it looks like another Facebook or myspace site, and there are already tons of those.

Re: LinkedIn.com
I don't think they can be compared in the sameway though. LinkedIn is meant for professionals and you can put your entire resume out there and link with others in your profession. Facebook or MySpace are more friend oriented.
I have a MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn account and I enjoy the LinkedIn much more. MySpace is just a place holder so no one stole my name ( ) and Facebook... well I never really did anything with it.

Re: LinkedIn.com
Linkedin is a business professionals website for networking and jobs. Its totally different then facebook. Facebook is more of a myspace site and not professional at all.

Re: LinkedIn.com
If you are working in the industry at a business then you sign up at linkedin so your co-workers can find you when you move from job to job.
Say a coworker quits to work somewhere else. You can check their linkedin profile to see where they are currently working. Or maybe you have a position to fill and want to hire an excoworker. You can look them up on the site and get in touch easily.
