Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SDK
Hi all,
trying to install Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SDK.msi I get an error that wscript.exe has created a win32 exception.
I have visual studio 2005 and 2008 installed on this system and the only info I have found regarding what seems to be similar to my problem is this link: https://connect.microsoft.com/Visual...dbackID=312927 however I cannot find version 8 of DeviceSDKInstShim.dll . Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
Also please correct me if I am wrong but the reason I am installing the Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SDK is because i want access to the Microsoft.WindowsMobile Class and without this installation I am unable to find this as a reference in the IDE. My understanding is that if I wish to accomplish tasks like programmatically sending SMS I will require this class. Is my understanding of this correct?
Any input would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
you can't use the later classes such as WindowsMobile, PocketOutlook in PPC2003 SDK.
For sending SMS you will need to write your own unmanaged dll, or use a 3rd party tool such as the one from www.inthehand.com
