activex component can't create object

Hi All,
I have to call an application exe in an excel macro. This exe needs to create an object so that I can call some of the application properties using the object.

I see that this is a COM related issue and I presume that the application is not a COM application.

In this case, is there a way I can create an object of this application and call properties.

Any help would be appreciated.

Guys, Im now able to register my application so that an entry for the application

SFW.Application appears in the windows registry.


However, when I try to execute the following vb script:

Dim sfw As Object
Set sfw = CreateObject("SFW.Application"),

It still throws the error that activex cannot create the object. However, this time, excel does take a lot of time to actually try to create the object.

Can anyone help?
