Can anyone suggest some good tutorials for graphics programming? Without sounding too picky, I'm looking for a book that uses lots of examples, and possibly a sense of humor. Something in the style of Karl Moore would be ideal, but I'd settle for something close. Any ideas are welcome.

With the exception of a sense of humor, the book Teach yourself DirectX in 21 days would be nice.
Also, if you like Karl Moore, if you ask him, maybe he'd write one for you, and post it on this site.

He writes all the articles with the weird metaphors. He has a, say we say, unique sense of humor, but I find it entertaining and his tutorials are a heck of a lot more fun than MSDN stuff.

coool thanks. :)
Visual Basic Graphics Programming. Rod Stephens (i
think). Wonderful book, has a lot of examples, humour,
and teaches you all of the basics (and even more of the
advanced stuff). It walks you through everything, and
teaches you all of the theory, so that it can be applied
later on. A very good book, all around.

Yes... I have that book too, I like the example of Using the API in that book. Although the 3D and Ray-Tracing are a bit too advanced for me right now... gotta brush up on my calculus and triginometry.... what a life...

Actually, after starting the post but before coming back to check I had seen this book at amazon.com and thought it was a good candidate (sp?). Nice to see a few people agree.
