Squeeze 80 characters in a textbox of 50 characters

hi All

I want to Squeeze 80 characters in a textbox of 50 characters without altering the height of the text.

Is there any option in crystal report or any other third party tools ?

Please Help . Urgent

Do you mean that the text can only be one row? Did you think of placeing the text in a SubDetail and allowing the Text box to grow in height. Any thing below will stay in place (no over writing) if this is done (the sub area will grow pushing other areas down).

Most likely you will need to change to a different font and/or font size.

Maybe using Arial Narrow or a fixed width font like Courier would help. Then adjust the Character Spacing until you find a reasonable value.

However, "squeezing" 80 characters down by what 40% may be to much for any Font.
