Active Data Connection in CR 9

    Hi

In CR 8.5 we have an option to create new connection as Active Data under More Data Source.
But in CR 9, I cannot find such a connection. So How we can create connection with Active Data in CR 9 ?

    With regards,
    Nasreen

Re: Active Data Connection in CR 9

    Hi
In CR 8.5, in Database Expert window, where we create connection to the database, we can find Active Data source under More Data Sources.
Please see the attached screen shot to clear the matter

But there is no such option in CR 9.

So How we can create connection with Active Data in CR 9 ?

    With regards,

In Crystal Reports 9 and higher, the options that were inside :
More Data Sources / Active Data, now are inside :
Create New Connection / Access Excel(DAO) or
Create New Connection / OLE DB (ADO) or
Create New Connection / ODBC (RDO)

    also

Try opening an 8.5 rpt using your Crystal Reports 9.0 and see how it is clasified using Menu / Database / Set Datasource Location / Properties
