    [2008] need help abt MCSD

    Hey all,
I have a question from you all. I was thinking to have my mcsd by the end of this year. But later I got to know that many of MCSD, supposedly most of what I was supposed to take, are retiring in march 2009.
I am not sure what to do? Either Should I go ahead and take tests or should wait for new tests. I dont know what difference its gonna make if i take or do not take these tests. Please explain thanks.

MCSD tests are VB 2003 based. If you are planning on taking a year to do all tests then you may be better off switching to 2005/2008 tests.

Just because the tests are being retired does not affect your certifdications you get. Those remain forevr valid but if an employer is looking at certifications, they will look at what is important to them as far as which year/version they want.

    hello Musman,
I think better to do MCTS rather than MSCD in .NET.
as The MCTS is based on .NET 2005 with all the Web and Windows applciation.
just search for MCTS certification on Microsoft site

    Best Luck
