Sorry but the site software was written to be used with IE and there's not much we can do if you use another browser.

Okay, I assumed your post as a problem notice and not a complaint. Anyhow thanks for letting us know.

What does the view source show you for the ads?

Well thats what happens when you run just released browser version with vBulletin before vBulletin has made their software FF 3.0 compatible. :D
vB may produce a patch or update for this but it will be some time before they do. then if we ever upgrade the site we can apply it.
You may want to save the page's source in a textfile and attach it for Brad. Maybe they can see if its an Ad issue or if vB just isnt playing nicely with FF.

I run Firefox 3 and I've never seen that.
It's not a vBulletin issue. It has to be to do with the ads.

Dont just let us know, save the page code as a txt file and maybe a small screen shot.
Dont forget that Ads are regional.

Really?I thought that was the case but I have no real knowledge one way or the other.

I dont believe its written specifically for IE but since we are running an old version any cross browser testing they have done with this version would not include new browser versions after 3.5.7's release which was a year or two ago. IE8 isnt supported on 3.7.2 and thats the newest release.

Ah found it. 3.5.7 was released on Wed 22nd Nov '06. So any browser versions that have been released after that date are not guarenteed to work with vB.

Well there's no reason they should support beta software, and IE 8 is still in beta.

But beta software changes so without a final release things could change and render your changes useless.

This site and JM are clearly stuck somewhere in 2003.

Its could be something along the lines of the ad code provided by the advitiser not being valid for FF 3 or that provided code doesnt work with vB 3.5.7 for whatever reason.

The current vBulletin versions are tested against ...
IE 6/7 (there is some legacy support for 5.5)
Firefox 1-3
Opera
Safari

JPnyc and I are the two Jupitermedia people that represent Jupitermedia on this forum. JPnyc is the Forum Manager responsible for all of Jupitermedia's forums. I'm responsible for all of Jupitermedia's sites that focus on Developer content -- which would include this one. Joe reports to me; however, as his boss, I pretty much try to stay out of his way so things can get done :) .
As far as ads and forum issues - give those to Joe and me. One of us can forward them to the right internal Jupitermedia people.
Brad!
