How many API functions ?

Too many to count. (At least 4500).

Please don't ask me to name them all :), but you can find several API names at msdn.microsoft.com and take a look at the platform SDK. Some other sites are www.allapi.net and www.vbapi.com.

Yes there are many many API functions. But with VB you will not use a large number of them.
