How do you get the combined dimonsions of the screen if it is spanned across several monitors? (Assuming they are layed out in a rectangle pattern, e.g two side by side)

Hi,
(I'm using the german Win98, so could be that the names are different)

If I connect the other monitor there are 2 screens in the properties tab and I can select 'Extend desktop to this screen'.
I think that's what you want, hope I did help ya.

No, not really... I've already got 2 monitors setup and working together fine.

I need to have a vb program findout the COMBINED screen dimentions of the desktop spanned across BOTH monitors.

According to the big MS, the screen.width & screen.height properties allow for multiple monitors...but guess what...they don't!!

Any other ideas?

It's for a screen saver and I've seen plenty of others do it fine...like the SETI@Home one.

I have three monitors, and have a small problem of keeping the small floating windows of VB5 on Win98 SE from going back to the center one, when I run the program I'm building. Any ideas on how to keep them on their proper monitors? This is fantastic for programing, if the thing would stay put. Sorry I don't have an answer to the other question.

I run Delphi the same way and it stays put, so I know it can be done (MS).
