As amitabh said, it is true relational database. And it has more scalability, better handling of multi-user access, bigger storage capacity, and the new SQL Server 2000 can handle OLAP.
Access is never intended to be used by more than one user.
By the way, MS stops selling SQL Server 7 now. Move up to SQL Server 2000. You will love it.
