I will be installing my app on the network so users can shortcut to the exe. When I "try" to install the application, I get error "an error occurred with EXPSRV.DLL"...the dll should be installing. Also, I get error "A required .DLL file, MSVBVM60.DLL, was not found."...so when I use the package and deployment wizard and try to add that dll, it doesn't appear on the list?! Any suggestions as to how I can successfully install my application with the right DLLs? Thanks.

This is the weird thing. I have a test box that doesn't have vb installed. I run the program from the network there and it works beautifully. However, when I go around to several other boxes, a different "missing" DLL appears and one computer even errored illegal operation?! What's up with that?

Hmmmm MSVBVM60.DLL should be part of the seven files that are copied to the system upon load.
OK, now you've packaged it somewhere, did you deploy it from there?
I've found that I can't move the Setup.exe file from where I deploy it to or the program will typically fail.
So, when you're Deploying it to the network, choose your drive, etc, and install from there.
This message may have been absolutely no help. :D

Hi,
I ran the setup.exe from my machine and sent the package to the network drive. Should I try installing it from the drive it's being called from?

Use Deployment to send it to the appropriate location on the network.
It should work then, barring any unforseen circumstances.
Do you have a test computer that isn't in a development environment?
P&D Wiz is notorious for "forgetting" DLLs to install. You'll want to test the program from a "virgin" machine prior to announcing its release to the network.
Believe me, I've had some embarassing incidents from failing to test programs in a non-VB enabled environment ;)
