I was having troubles viewing the forums from my work pc so i just ignored it but know iam at home the same thing is happening.

The pages don't load sometimes until i refresh the browser.

Is there any problems with the site at the moment?

edit

It must be a tracking cookie or something

This is the text that runs when i refresh the page

It is a problem with a locale-specific advertisement. The administrators have been notified and hopefully the advert can be pulled soon.

It seems to be that light switch add that is preventing the forums pages from loading.

Have you been hijacked?

having read this thread, because i was having the same problem, in firefox i went to
tools > options > content > load images automatically > exceptions
and added doubleclick.net

so far it seems to have resolved the issue

edit i also blocked their cookies

The problem is still there with many different ads, particular with an IBM ad that has a big switch and another text ad.
That happens with both FireFox and IE.

There are many ads that cause problem, including some VBWire text ads.

You have to refresh many times until the bad ad is replaced with a good one or come back in few minutes later.

Administrators! What happens? We need to here from you!

The problem is still there.

Yes, it is one of the IBM Australia ads. As I said, the administrators have been notified. Since it is obviously broken it should be fixed by the advertiser as soon as possible. Unfortunately we do not have as much control over the adverts as might be ideal.

I am from Australia. This is an IBM Australia ad.
I HATE this guy and I HATE IBM too because of this ad.

It blocks the whole web page of VBForums to load.
Now that have been there for nearly a week.
It's ridiculous! How can this happens?

Probably I will stay away from VBForums until this ad is fixed or removed.

I HAD TO REFRESH 15 TIMES TO POST THIS!

Pete, probably I will follow you.
It's so BAD and becomes worst than 2 days ago.

Does IBM know that this ad hurts its reputation?
I really HATE IBM now.

I've been told that the lightswitch ad has been taken down until it can be reviewed and fixed.

Let us know if any of the other ads are causing similar problems.
