I was just wondering, when someone gives you a reputation point how many points do you receive? Is it just one per "rating" ? Im just curious as I have quite a few more points than I would of expected and in my User Control Panel it only shows 3 ratings.
Also how many ratings is this list in the UserCP limited to now?

Cheers
Chris

Here's (http://www.vbforums.com/faq.php?s=&do=search&q=Reputations&match=any&titlesonly=0) an explanation.

Yeah I looked at that but I wasnt sure how up to date it was as lines like this:

The most recent ratings will be displayed on your User Control Panel page. This was set to the lasttwenty-five (25) reputation, but may be more or less if the settings have changed.

indicate that things could be different now. Specially as I apparently have 16 rep points but it only shows me 3 in my UserCP.
Im sure somewhere there was also a bit that mentioned how it was not possible to view who ratings were from - yet in my UserCP I can see who gave me the 3 ratings that I see in there. So I assume this has been changed as well.

The last 25 ratings are (still) shown, however depending on who rated you each rating could be worth anyplace from 0 to 10 rating points. PM me the names of the people who rated you and I'll see if the numbers make sense.

Also the only thing I see about names is the statement that ratings "may not be anonymous". I'll change that to "are not anonymous" but is there some other statement that I'm missing?

As indicated earlier, each reputation rating is dependent upon the person that gives it to you. Based on years on forum, number of posts, and other critieria, a person might give you anywhere from 0 to lots of points. In your (Chris128) case, one of the people that rep'd you has a power of 9 points.

Brad!

(edited to fix reference to OP).

How can I determine who rated me?

A decision was made so that the name of the member rating you will not be shown. Some members, however, will include their name in the comments when rating you.

Unless im taking that the wrong way...
