MSSQL 2K8 Beta with MSSQL 2K5

Has anyone installed MSSQL 2K8 on the same machine as 2K5? I haven't found anything telling me that you can't but I was wondering if there were any issues?

    Thanks!
    Regards,

    Mark

The word "beta" in the title is extremely important.. don't install beta software on to a machine that you need to keep working, especially if you have another version/edition of the same software (like you have in this case).

There have been several times that using (or even un-installing) beta versions broke already installed versions.. one notable case was (I think) a recent version Visual Studio.

True, but I don't ahve a spare machine to install it on. I was hoping someone had this configuration already installed. Oh well, I guess I can wait until it is released to install it.

    Thanks, Si!

An alternative would be to create a virtual machine, perhaps using Virtual PC from MS (which is free), which would allow you to make a test machine inside your existing installation of Windows.
