Pranksters within President Clinton's departing administration apparently removed the "W" keys from White House computer keyboards as a wacky welcome for President George W. Bush.

While on the surface this may seem harmless, the prank may actually inhibit the productivity of the Bush administration. Most URLs start with "www," so how Will White House staffers enter Web addresses while surfing for vital information?

Communications from the White House will be misunderstood. The missing "W" wreaks havoc on words. "What" becomes "hat." "How" becomes "ho." "War" becomes "ar."

Most importantly, memos will have to be signed "President George Bush," instead of "President George W. Bush," opening the door for mistaken identity.

Chaos may erupt. Anarchy may be near

It doesn't really matter what name appears on the signature...we all know that George Bush is in charge NOT George W....

No problems, they are probably all Republican supporters therefore would not know how to use their little webbed fingers to type on a keyboard.

Now, apparently, George W. Bush said that the internet basically turns people souls dark. So having the WWW missing for internet wouldn't matter :) and also he said that more and more imports come from outside the US. Funny that!!

So that's where imports come from. Will pass onto our Trade Minister who also seems not too have grasped that principle.

And yes the WWW does turn your soul dark, it is an evil wicked thing, which should be banned. Probably will never catch on though.

It'll never take off while there's a world market for maybe 2 computers.

Damn right Parksie. Now if l can get the guys to keep our mainframe up and running will be able to do some real business. Maybe that 2k ram upgrade was going to far. After all who needs more than 12k memory.
