Hello All,
Recently, I needed to reinstall VB 6 on my home computer and learned, to my surprise, that the discs were unreadable. After several tries, I gave up, stood in the corner and sucked my thumb. I have been looking everywhere for replacements for these 2 discs and have come up empty. Does anyone have a clue as to where I might find replacements?
Thanks for reading my post

Welcome to VBForums
Thread moved from Assembly forum
VB6 is now long out of date, so it (and the MSDN library for it) is not available any more.. your best bet will be to buy a second-hand copy somewhere, like an online auction site.
Alternatively, you could get the latest version of VB (VB2008 Express, and the related MSDN library) for free directly from Microsoft - but that wont be much good if you need to work with existing VB6 projects.

Everything that was on the CDs for VB 6 help files is still online at MS.
If you have your license you can call MS and find out how much the replacement media CDs will cost if available.

I have seen both VB6 and the MSDN CDs for sale there.

Ok, I did find MSDN Library discs for VB 6 on Ebay and bought them for $15!
Thanks, Hack, for pointing me in the right direction.

$15 may be pirated but since you have a legit license for VB 6it would make sense that it would be just a media replacement for you. :)
Ps, dont forget to Resolve your thread from the Thread Tools menu so others know its been solved. ;)

I would give this some serious consideration as well.Alternatively, you could get the latest version of VB (VB2008 Express, and the related MSDN library) for free directly from Microsoft
