Being new here I had instant email notification as default. Well, I soon learned not to do that.
I went to the User CP and selected all the existing threads with the Notification box and tried to change them all to no notification. It didn't change any of them.
Do I have to change them individually?

Are you talking about removing a thread subscription?

Some of the threads have Instant. I was trying to change them to none, and was not able to. I have even tried to select one thread and change it to none.
Here is a Screen Shot of what I am trying to do.

If I remember correctly, there is some issue on our forums where subscriptions will not update from the control panel. You have to go into each thread you are subscribed to that you want to change and change the subscription from the thread tools menu.

That is, and has been, a problem for a while.

Yes, and probably will always be as before the last big upgrade of the forum software we had hoped it would be fixed but it wasnt. So we knew it was something specific to our database and setup instance. Its too hard to track down so its something that we will just have to live with.

Thanks for the answer. Not really a big deal since I 'been gettin' smarter' and changed my default. Hopefully it will get fixed.

Its more of our database issue as the forum software was upgraded and the issue persisted. If it was software related then the issue would have been fixed. Its not a reported bug at vbulletin.com over the years so its specific to our site :(

It is unfortunately one of a few gremlins that this site seems to have....
My apologies for the troubles.
Brad!
