I just bought a new HP system, powered by an AMD Athlon 550mhz chip. If I fire up VB6 and open up a project, 99% of the time I will get a Fatal Exception Error 0E either during the execution of the program loaded or immediately upon exiting VB6. If I compile the program on my old system (Cyrix P200+ chip), move it over to the new system, and run it, there is no problem.
Anyone have any suggestions? Other than the processor, the two most obvious differences betweent the two systems are Direct X 6.0 on the new one versus 5.0 on the old, and IE 5.0 on the new one versus 4.0 on the old...
Thanks
Steve

Knowing IE5's track record and the fact it has more bugs than all other programs in the world put together, I would say it is that but I'm just a pesamist!

IE5 is a LOT less stable than IE4...big time!
