    Visual Basic 6 and Earlier forum title

    Apparently many don't know the difference between the VB6 and say VB 2005 so I suggest to rename VB6 forum to something like the following:

    Visual Basic 1998 (VB6) and Earlier

    Any thoughts?

    Are those people programmers ?

    The forum name has changed so many times, I don't think I want to see it changed again...

    Instead of changing the name of the forum, I suggest to educate those people who make this confusion....

    I don't think we can make the section title much simpler.

    Folks were still post .NET questions in there when it read Classic VB.

    Heck, I have seen VB 6 posts in many different locations as well as .NET questions in the opposite locations. Maybe programmers are very dyslexic

    When we move threads to their correct forum we usually state where we are moving them to and why. With new members joining up everyday its going to be an infinite cycle and not much more can be done about it.

    I will answer to all 3 of you - people that are confused are new commers (not new to VBF but rather to programming).
    Most probably they have never heard of Classic VB nor what it stands for. They simply associate their version of VB with first occurence of "Visual Basic" found and therefore posting in incorrect forum.
    I am not referring to those who can't see the difference btween "A" and "B" - even MS is no longer marketing new VB releases as VB.Net - it clearly stands out as "Visual Basic".
    If noone likes the idea I'm fine with that but please do not suggest anything like this:

    There is no such thing as Visual Basic "1998"

    I agree with the feedback that making additional changes will not make it any clearer.
