It is possible that vbforums management team to neaten the bank code source code in category.

List out the link of bank code in a thread and use cross-sectional keyword to distinguished the bank code.Thus, we can easy to find what we want in shorter time.

Just a suggestion hope would be considerate.

You mean like an index page? Too much work to maintain as members contribute the entries. No real valid way to manage the index.

Just use a advanced search as its usually the faster way anyways.

I have actually contemplated doing something like this, but maintaining the integrity of the index page (because of the frequent submissions) would become a unmanagable nightmare.

I agreed with what rob and hack, it is a nightmare for managing the posted source code.

If design the predefined procedure to enabled user for posting or uploading source code to exactness index will reduce the workload of management team such as planet source code or freevbcode. The management merely identify the correct index for posted source code.

This is a good idea, but it's something that would be best done programmatically, and right now the forum software simply doesn't support such a thing.

It's not just a good idea - it's a fantastically good idea - to find somethig there is a bigger nightmare than to organize it !
Although it's a fact that forum software doesn't allow to do this easily however it was done in FAQ section.
It will take time though but it finally needs to be done.

vBulletin 3.7 (currently in early beta phase) features keyword tags for threads.
Adding these to all the existing Codebank entries would be a hell of a task, but it would make searching on particular topics so much easier.

The FAQ Forum is fuly moderated and takes time to go over each and every entry, pm the memeber for any changes, validate, modify faq index etc. Its allot of work as it is and to have the same technique for the CB forum will just require too much time IMO.

I wouldn't mind spending some time going back through the old threads and adding the tags. I would pick and choice which threads to add the tags to, and then it seems it wouldn't that big a deal to add them as they get posted going forward. It is something I would at least take a look at once we get to 3.7

Well you wont have to worry about it for a few years as we dont even have 3.6.x yet. We are looking at at least 2 years til we get that version.

The tranformation will bring the pro and con to the members of Vbforums and also management team committee, before stride to the success, something would be sacrified.
