Copying photos
Is it possible to have a code to copy photos from a digital camera.
Like when you plug in your camera, run an application, it automatically copies all the contents into your hard drive.
(I know how to do it on regular drives, but cameras have no drive letters)

Re: Copying photos
Hmm, never thought of this.. *plugs in his digital camera and looks at the My Computer* Well, it seems to show a drive being used, since it's connected via usb. Automatically, it would be a bit difficult, since all systems use a different usb drive for it. So, I guess the solution would be to have the user designate the drive with a drive list box, and then copy all picture files off that drive/folder?

Re: Copying photos
i believe you should be able to add an app to windows list of options, that comes up when you plug in a removable drive
also many cameras have 2 mode when connecting to computer, camera or usb drive, which is a setting on the camera, all the cameras i have plugged in usb drive mode have a drive letter, in camera mode they generally use custom software
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next
dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part
come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed
