"Winsock" - if you wanna be correct winSUCK - is the DLL Better?

Well as you probably know winsock ocx Sucks and he have a limit of 49 Open Connections.
Now , i am been told that the winsock DLL is alot better - is that true and if so , how can i use it ? - Anyone ?
