I came by this article.

The article is mainly about a fight between two parties about the message of the Quran ... but isn't distributing religious text to State Legistlators from a State Panel a violation of Church and State?

Religious people should not be allowed to proselytize in Government for any reason even under the supposed purpose of "diversity".

Nothing wrong with distributing holy books to a politician. The whole church and state thing was to avoid having an "official" US religion like the Church of England or to prevent the free expression of any faith.

Funny how the Qurans were returned because they are full of violence. Obviously these guys never read the Bible...

The Quran is a Bible. Are you referring perhaps to the Jewish bible? It is a commonly known fact that the Quran and Old Testament contain almost the exact same stories, just told from a different perspective.
