Exclamation Creating an Online RPG.. (Hopefully)?

Well i want to create an Online Role playing game. But there a few questions i have

    1) How do i make a log in form for characters and stuff?
    2) how do you make "Sprites" become the default control, and how do i make the arrow buttons control movements, make certain key presses do certain things etc
    3) Do i need a server to host a game? Or can it run off my pc somehow
    4) If you have msn messenger please leave it so i can ask for further help

    Thanks!

If you are new to VB.NET that seems like quite a tall order. Perhaps start with something a little less intense for your first try?

    >>1, that would depend on your characters, and a whole lot of variables we do not know, it is a kind of question that only you can answer, I recommend playing around with the program (alot) and after a while things make sense.

    >>2, same as 1

    >>3, I am fairly sure you do, If you run it off your pc, some hacker will come along and obliterate your computer and everything on it, so I am not sure.

I also recommend you open visual basic, and go 'Help - How do I', and 'Help - Search', they have a surprisingly large amount of information.

    Cheers
