When I deploy a VB2005 app to the web, the .application file just displays the XML as text.

This page says:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms229001.aspx
I should uninstall the framework but my system won't uninstall it.

The other suggestion is to register the .application extension with content type "application/x-ms-application" on the client? Exactly how? I don't have a field for content type in the file associations box under tools in explorer.

It really should take less effort to deploy than to write the program

Has anyone actually deployed their vb app to a website successfully or is it just me?
