SQL replication-zilla
I just got brought onto a project that is having issues with SQL Server 2005
replicating out to 2000+ machines.
That seems like a lot.
We are using merge replication.
The plan is to move the databases to another SQL Server on a heftier machine.
Has anyone had any "gotchas" doing this type of move?

Re: SQL replication-zilla
How many distributors do you have and how many agents?
2000+ subscribers does seem a lot, do you have any latency problems at the moment? Certainly the beefier box the more you could push through with less latency.

Re: SQL replication-zilla
We have 8 merge agents. We are only having any trouble with our largest.
It starts to work for a day or so, then just gives up.
There is only one distributor, the same machine that is the publisher.
